What it is
The Paper Apple is a papercraft fruit you print, fold, and glue from three sheets of card, then set out as freestanding decor — on a table, along a shelf, or piled into a bowl. The pattern splits cleanly into two red sheets for the body and one green for the leaf and stem, and the finished apple measures 9 cm (3½ in) in every direction — close enough to life size that a bowl of them reads as a still life from across the room.
The bowl is the point. At three sheets and an evening apiece, this is a paper apple you build once to learn and then in batches — a red one, a green one, a pink one — until the bowl fills up. The template is printed on white card by design: the colour comes from the card you choose, so metallic, glitter, or plain bristol all work, and no two harvests come out the same.

The apple is a piece for the middle of the house — a bowl filler for a farmhouse table, a run of fruit along a kitchen shelf, an autumn centrepiece that costs three sheets of card per apple instead of a florist’s bill. Because it holds its shape year-round, the same harvest carries a table from September to Christmas, and in white or metallic card it steps out of the orchard entirely and becomes quiet, geometric decor.
How you build it
- Print or cut. Print the PDF (A4 or US Letter) at home on card, or send the SVG to a Cricut or Silhouette — cut and crease lines are separated, ready to go.
- Score and fold along the marked lines. This is what gives the apple its faceted, low-poly shape.
- Glue the numbered pieces in sequence. Start with number 1 and continue — the numbering means you’re never guessing what connects to what.
- Set it out. The apple stands on its own — on a table, a shelf, or in a bowl with the rest of the harvest.
